Kimberly J. Brannon is a Southern Louisiana Native and a Resident Artist at River Oaks Square Arts Center in Alexandria, La. She earned her BFA in printmaking from Louisiana State University in 1994 before teaching children’s art classes and later continuing her studies at Arizona State University. A prolific and widely collected artist, Kimberly’s work is featured in private and public collections across the country, with exhibitions ranging from intimate galleries to renowned art spaces.
Known for her striking mixed-media acrylic abstracts, Kimberly favors rich, jewel-toned palettes that exude depth and movement. Her artistic range extends beyond painting, encompassing figurative works, ceramic sculptures, and assemblage pieces, each infused with heavy textures and the organic, weathered hues of the earth. Whether working on canvas, clay, or found objects, she brings a dynamic and tactile energy to her art, inviting viewers to explore layers of color, form, and meaning.
